Obama doing it Iowa style here in Pennsylvania

Senators Barack Obama and Bob Casey made a stop into a sports bar in Latrobe following the townhall event in Greensburg.   It is good to see the Senator doing more low key appearences out in the public.

Senator Casey’s endorsement couldn’t come at a better moment as the Obama is starting to build some serious momentum in Pennsylvania. I was very happy to hear that the campaign was making a serious effort to win this state. I do believe it is winnable but they must do a better job with the media here in Pennsylvania and especially in the Pittsburgh area. I was fortunate enough to score a hat trick today. Not only was I lucky enough to sit on the stage for Senator Obama’s speech today in Oakland but I was able to shake his hand and give him a shout out while also getting my copy of “The Audacity of Hope” autographed.

Barack Obama to host townhall meeting in Beaver on Monday

Democratic presidential contender U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, who had to cancel a visit to Penn State-Beaver Thursday, will bring his campaign to the Community College of Beaver County’s Center Township campus Monday.

Obama’s campaign announced Friday that the Illinois senator will host a town hall meeting and question-and-answer session starting at 11:30 a.m. in CCBC’s Golden Dome. Doors will open at 10 a.m.

The event is free, but tickets are required. Tickets can be obtained at the Dome on Campus Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday. For security reasons, attendees should limit personal items, and bags are prohibited. Signs and banners also are prohibited.

And, there’s good news for those still holding tickets for Thursday’s canceled event. Those tickets will be honored Monday. Admission is first-come, first-serve.
