This weekend is our last push to register new and Independent voters as Democrats for the Pennsylvania Primary.  The deadline is Monday March 24th but we are focusing on this Saturday and Sunday to register thousands of new Democrats here in Western PA.  Please locate an event closest to you by visiting this my.BarackObama events search.

Please join us this Saturday at the new Pittsburgh for Obama field office in East Liberty. We will be meeting at the office at 11am and will then hit the streets to sign up supporters, volunteers, and register voters.

Job Description for Neighborhood Captains for Barack Obama

Goal: To help us get Barack Obama elected

Weekly Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours

Skills:

• Organized
• Good communicator
• Detail-oriented
• Enthusiastic
• Committed!!

Responsibilities:

• To facilitate participation of Barack Obama supporters in your designated geographic area in the campaign process
• To participate in weekly conference calls
• To recruit volunteers in your area
• To process all new volunteers and forward information weekly to the area coordinator
• To assist new volunteers in finding ways to participate in the campaign
• To coordinate local Obama activities in your designated area (voter registration, canvassing, GOTV, etc.)
• To encourage participation in all Obama events in your designated area
• To refer requests for interviews or speakers to the campaign through the designated channels
• To communicate progress and events in your designated area to the area coordinator
• To organize volunteers in your designated area for regional Obama events as needed
